After our workshop we as a team decided to go out for a beer. Now that we are out of Metro Manila we have more freedom to do some things completely on our own. So, we hired two tricycles (dirt bikes with side cars) and headed off. The ride was very exciting, check out my video. But we arrived safely, though exhilarated and made our way back without a problem. Though I must admit, sitting outside of the tricycle in congested traffic did get me a lot of attention. Giant white people are not all that common around here. But people are generally friendly or curious. The tricycles are an important part of the transportation system here. They are cheap, always available and agile, they can easily skirt around any traffic hold up. The best ride you can have for P20 (or one Bill Murray).
