Laughter

Filippinos have a great sense of humour. On our first day I wondered if our Canadian sarcasm would work here in the Philippines. Oh but it does. We have laughed and laughed. The word usage is sometimes a little different but fun is fun. The toilets here are called comfort rooms which led us to wonder what the teachers coming to Canada would think if their host families asked if the comforter on their bed was thick enough! It’s the kindness and joyfulness that helps us through these long stressful days.
