Took the bus from Duncan to Victoria today to get my last shot and meet the other island girls to start our trip. The bus was overbooked -only three seats left and a dozen people wanting on. I was number 4 -sorry no room. But....Here I thought I was in one of the richest, most desirable countries to live in in the world and we can't figure out how sell the same number of tickets as seats.
So, I explain the urgency of the trip to the bus driver and he kindly lets me on. I spend the trip from Duncan to Victoria sitting on the floor in the stairwell of the bus! Can't say I would pay full price for it again but it was alright. (Kind of like sailing really, when you're trying to stay upright on the corners.) I wonder if a trip on a Jeepney will be more comfortable?
