Wow, we're getting so close to our departure. After months of planning, sourcing, and anticipating it's almost time to begin our adventure. I look forward to learning together with my colleagues in the Philippines. My hope is that as presenters we can share our perspectives and best practices with others to begin a dialogue about what might be possible in classrooms. While I am eager to share my experiences and expertise, I also hope to learn from the teachers I will be meeting and work with in the Philippines. I am curious about their methodologies and philosophies. Oh, what an exciting time of learning and sharing across the Pacific Ocean this will be.
The second half of the fun will be learning about and experiencing the Philippines. I can't wait to meet the people who have been emailing with our team and are working hard on our behalf to organize this trip. Having had a taste of Filipino food and met several Filipinos, I know we'll be eating well and getting to know many wonderful people. I'm just not sure about the taboo and those eggs... (No, host families that does not mean I want to try one of those eggs!)
